At dawn, Hamas launched a coordinated terrorist attack—firing thousands of rockets into Israeli cities while armed militants stormed across the border.
They struck indiscriminately and with devastating precision: invading homes, killing entire families, kidnapping civilians, and committing acts of unspeakable violence. One of the most horrific scenes unfolded at the Nova Music Festival, where over 3,000 young people were dancing under the open sky. There, 364 were murdered, and dozens taken hostage—a massacre that turned music into silence.
In total, over 1,200 innocent people were killed in a single day—babies, women, the elderly, peace activists. Communities were burned, kibbutzim destroyed, and lives torn apart. It was the worst attack on Jewish civilians since the Holocaust.
The world watched in disbelief, and Israel was plunged into mourning. Survivors speak of the screams, the fear, the helplessness—memories that will haunt a generation.
